Rivers Edge 703c

After a 6 hr. drive we hoped for a perfect three night stay for our first time visiting Helen for Oktoberfest 2026. That would not be the case. First, we had a faulty door lock which caused my husband to have to walk across the street to the check-in desk two times before we finally got inside with a key. The place appeared well kept, but there were no paper towels provided and the dish washer had not been emptied. Our view from the livingroom was great. The deck had a two-person swing, perfect for sipping coffee, listening to the sound of flowing water and watching people tube past in the beautiful rocky steam below. The condo was one bedroom with a decent king-sized bed. It was nicely decorated and had two really nice bathrooms. There was a small closet in the bedroom, no clothes hangers. No chest of drawers for unpacking clothes. The window shades didn't keep out the bright flood lights from next door. It was like sleeping in daylight. Don't expect a quiet stay. The walls are very thin. Conversations were heard all around us. At times it sounded like they were inside our condo. Every time the people above us flushed the toilets, washed hands, showered, or took a soak bath we heard the water running through the pipes. On Sunday morning from 1:10 a.m. to 2:59 a.m. people above us partied with blaring music and singing loudly, as if they were the only ones there. I got no sleep before the long trip home.

We had a peaceful time here. The area is quiet. The people nearby were quiet as well and pleasant.

Very clean, comfortable and quiet. We will be back!!

The host was non- responsive however the front desk was great!

Great location and views. Could walk everywhere (which was faster considering all of the traffic). Nice remodel and lots of space. Definitely could use a new mattress. We kept rolling to the center and didn’t sleep as well as we’d like. Loved having 2 bathrooms. Couldn’t watch tv because the Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect. Wi fi was hit and miss overall.
